Shaped by increased diversity, liberalized social norms, the self-esteem movement and high internet accessibility, Millennials are unlike any generation that came before them. They’re willing to give back to society and believe they’re the right people to do so. They grew up during a time of economic expansion and prosperity between 1980 and 2000. They were coddled by their parents and raised to believe they were special and deserve a high standard of living. Because they were raised in a fast-paced, technology and media immersed society they operate in a different way from previous generations.
